Today I want to honor my husband on his birthday.
Ed is a godly man, an amazing husband and father, a pastor who loves his church and desires more than anything to serve the Lord with passion and integrity.
I took him away this weekend to downtown Houston. We enjoyed a great dinner at a new restaurant in Discovery Green then enjoyed a show at the Hobby Center. Today he saw Indiana Jones and was then surprised by our kids and grandkids at Discovery Green for dinner. It's been a great weekend. We just want him to feel loved!

Happy Birthday to Brian and Jenn!
Jenn is married to Dr. Rusty and is an amazing mom to four children. She and her family celebrated her #33 birthday at Camp Ozark.
Brian works for Compassion International and he spent his birthday #35 in Uganda. His family has this birthday hat tradition. Here he is in his birthday hat surrounded by Ugandan children.

Global Food Crisis
My kids are always challenging me and helping me grow in my faith and in my compassion for the impoverished people in this world. Read this article written by my son Brian and consider how you can be a part of the solution for the hungry people all over the world. I am saddened to think of the food we ate for dinner tonight and then to think of how many children are going to bed hungry. It is time for us to sacrifice. What will you choose to do?

God Still Heals
Two years ago tonight, May 18, 2006, the Lord miraculously healed my knee. After a knee replacement I had many complications and found myself in terrible pain all the time. I walked into a worship conference in California with a cane and walked out that night with no assistance holding my cane high. It is a defining moment in my life - an experience that is a complete miracle.
I am humbled that the Lord would choose to heal me. Tonight I give glory to Jehovah Rapha - the God who heals.

Happy Mother's Day
I want to tell you about the mothers of my grandchildren. They all love the Lord. They all love their husbands. They all love being mothers. As I get to spend time with each one of them I always come away saying what awesome mothers they are! Thank you Jenn, Lisa, Amy and Liz for making the job of mothering look so amazing - for making your kids a priority in your lives without feeling that you have lost your identity and your purpose in life - for loving your husbands and being sure that your marriage is a strong one - for loving family and for loving yourselves.
I love you all,
Cindy/Mom
