This is fun!!!!

Last week we spent 4 days with our whole family at Galveston Pointe West. There is nothing like it - 11 adults and 17 grandkids- hanging out at the beach and the pool - laughing and talking and loving being together.
I love this picture - Nana and Pop-Pop with the pride of joy of our lives - our 17 grandkids!
I will post more pics later. This picture was taken at Rain Forest Cafe which is the big finale of our vacation when Pop-Pop treats us all to great food, fun "volcanoes" and then the Adventure River ride.
We are blessed!

It's almost over!

Wow - it's already been a week. We are sad and ready to get home all at the same time. This is probably the best vacation we have ever had! That's a big statement because we have always loved to "cruise" but this vacation has had a different element - a complete get-away from the city - people - tourist activities - a total disconnect.
God has really been working on me and my inability to relax so this week has been one lesson after another on how to rest in the Lord.
I will share more about what God has been saying to me. Just know that I have never relaxed like this - maybe in my whole life.
God has been gracious to give us such an awesome time away together.

Thank you, Pop-Pop!

We just spent 4 days with all 26 of our family in one house - 15 grandkids and 11 adults - at the beach. It was made possible by the head of our large family, Pop-Pop (aka Dad or Ed). He loves his family more than you can know and he absolutely does all that he can to help his family know of the love he has for them. The picture here was taken when most of the grandkids attacked him with a huge thank-you group hug.

Sunrise on Galveston Beach

Three of my granddaughters joined me on the beach this morning at 6 a.m. for sunrise and searching for sea shells. The clouds blocked some of the view but gave us some great pictures and a moment to recognize again the beauty of God's creation.

Family Vacation

We are away on a Family Vacation with all 26 of us. We love the beach and the kids are becoming true "beach kids". There is nothing sweeter than watching your kids and grandkids playing together and loving on each other. It has been so fun to watch us "herd" all of these kids from one place to the other. Tonight we are all glowing with a touch of the sun. Tomorrow morning some of us girls will rise early and go watch the sun rise on the beach. I hope to post some great sunrise pics tomorrow.
